Why I Go To So Many Concerts

One of my favorite places to spend my time is at a concert. This love for seeing my favorite bands began in 2007 and hasn't slowed since. It's not just seeing the band through, a combination of many things join to make going to a concert a very enjoyable experience. Read below, you'll read and understand why they're so important to my life.

1. The initial excitement of finding out the band / artist is coming near you

I always love finding out that one of my favorite bands is coming to an area that allows me to see them.

2. The anticipation leading up to the event

Counting down the days, knowing that I have a concert coming up in the future helps me get through those really stressful days of work and school.

3. Finally able to see your favorite band or artist

There are only a few bands and artists that I consider my favorites, and when I get the chance to see them live, it is always a favorite show. Concerts are always more exciting when you know more of their songs.

4. You meet so many new people.

The majority of my friend group is people that I met at concerts. This also allows me to have more friends to go to concerts with, it makes the overall concert more enjoyable when you have friends to spend it with.

5. The atmosphere

I love the whole production on a concert. The lights, the stage, the music, the band, the fans all wrapped into one.

6. They help you forget the stresses of life

Being in the middle of a crowd full of hundreds of other people who love the same music as you allows you to forget all the problems going on in life. Just for a short while, you can let go and take a break from life.

7. The possibility of meeting your favorite band / singer

Going to smaller concerts may even give you the occasional opportunity of meeting the band or artist that you are seeing. This gives the overall experience of going to the concert that extra special aspect.

8. You create tons of new memories

Throughout your entire time at the concert, you are building new memories that you will remember long after.

9. Being able to dress up specifically for the show

Personally, I am always looking for an excuse to dress up for something, and a concert is that perfect opportunity. This also gives some fans the chance to make T-shirts for their favorite bands or artists.

10. Expanding your musical taste.

More often than not, the concert you are seeing will have more than one band playing. This gives the fans opportunities to find out about more music that they may not have known about before.

11. Memories that last long after the show does

Through getting excited about the show, to enjoying the concert, to the day ending—you will always remember the good times you had!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
