Have you ever sat at your desk contemplating all of the hours you’ve completely wasted or spent time stressing over your busy schedule? Sometimes we use our “busy” schedule as an excuse for our lack of productivity. Often we’ll say, “I can’t join another organization because I won’t have enough time to keep up with my college work.” Yes, that’s a full-fledged excuse because there are 24 hours in a day. If we’re going to make a difference in this life we live we might as well do something meaningful and productive.

Everything is dependent upon your time management skills. If you spend several hours a day watching Netflix and then write a paper at 1 a.m. in the morning, that’s poor time management. You’ve pushed your priorities down and instead swapped your valuable time for meaningless entertainment. This is especially true in college.

There are times when we do have to indulge in ourselves, but that should come after we’ve conquered everything else. The allure of procrastination is very tempting and putting everything off until the last minute sounds like a good idea until you face the repercussions.

Procrastinating is almost like an addiction. It's a hard habit to break because it's easy for us to fall into things we shouldn't. Being organized and determined is important to do in order to break the procrastination bubble. You need a clear outline of all of your deadlines and responsibilities to keep yourself on track and make your due dates on time.

It's also important to be determined and motivated to achieve your deadlines and goals. Once you have organized your materials, planned out your schedule and begun to think positively, you will become more productive and genuinely proud of yourself.

You should feel inspired to do everything you possibly can in your beautiful life, even if it means balancing a full-time internship as a college student. Having a full schedule may seem daunting but balancing your lifestyle is a task that must be done. Of course, it's not easy to say "no" to all of the social gatherings and parties that you could be going to. You're young but it's important to balance your social life with your academic and work life earlier on.

Once you've mastered how to occasionally say "no" to bar-hopping on a Friday night and saying "yes" to a sit-in at the library on a Friday night, you'll realize how important it is to balance your priorities. The most exciting part is knowing you won't be stressing over uncompleted school work when it comes time to party.

I hope that after reading this, you've become inspired to set a clear and concise schedule to help manage your time wisely. I also hope that you'll feel better about deadlines and achieving all of your goals. If there ever comes a chance for you to take on another opportunity, take it. You may feel overwhelmed at first, especially when it comes to adding another responsibility to your already full plate, but in the long run, everything is worth it.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
