In a perfect world, I'd be able to shop at Sephora whenever I wanted to. As a college student, however, this is a bit unrealistic due to the fact it's way too easy to spend hundreds of dollars each I time I visit. So, here are some of my favorite makeup buys if you too are on a college budget.
1.) L'Oreal Paris Magic Perfecting Base Primer $8
I've tried all the higher-end primers (Smashbox Photo-Ready, Make Up Forever Step 1 Primer, etc.), but I honestly can't tell the difference when I use the L'Oreal and when I use the more expensive brands. This stuff is great for smoothing out skin and hiding pores, plus my foundation definitely wears longer when I use it.
2.) Sephora Collection Waterproof Eyebrow Pencil $13
Eyebrows, personally, are the trickiest part of my makeup routine. I was lucky to find this pencil though because it makes it super easy to fill in my brows without making them look too done. However, if you can rock the "done" look, this pencil could still get the job done.
3.) Sephora Collection Matte Bronzer Powder $17
This bronzer is really easy to blend and lasts a long time. It's great for a soft bronze, but also works well for contouring.
4.) Nyx Born to Glow Liquid Illuminator $7.50
This illuminator is great because it's just the right amount of shimmery and can be layered for a more dramatically dewy look.
5.) L'Oreal Paris Infallible Pro Matte Foundation $12
This foundation gives the perfect amount of coverage without looking cakey. It also has a really nice matte look, but doesn't dry out skin.
6.) L'Oreal Voluminous Superstar Liner $10
This marker makes it super easy to do winged liner and very difficult to mess up.
7.) e.l.f Professional Bronzing Brush $2
This brush blends my bronzer effortlessly and at the whopping price of $2, it's kind of hard to pass up.
8. Sonia Kashuk Undetectable Loose Powder $10
This powder is great if you're looking for light-to-medium coverage and it really is "undetectable."
