I'll admit, I've been obsessing over makeup lately and I asked my fellow ladies in my Odyssey community what brands they trust the most. They gave me some good brands in terms of quality, some are very expensive, but are really good. There are some that I'm starting to live by (either morally or using the brand for makeup) So check out these awesome, amazing, brands:

Jeffree Star Cosmetics

Although I never tried his products because I'm a broke college student, who can only afford $5 lipstick. I trust his reviews when it comes to makeup because he's been in the game for a while. Not only that but his products have great reviews from everywhere, I honestly live for him and he's become a role model for me as I go into the world of makeup. In fact, most of these brands on here are "Jeffree Star Approved"

Colourpop

Colourpop is affordable for the everyday college student, and it is available online and at Ulta and Sephora. Their colors are amazing and I love all the colors they have.

E.L.F

Like Colourpop, you can get this brand at almost any store, most people I know like this brand based on the fact that it is cheap. Not only that, but they do have good products.

L'Oreal

I respect L'Oreal because they have been there for a long time and is affordable for broke college students like me. Not only that, but they are the only brand so far to have my shade in foundation and it works pretty good too.

Urban Decay

I live for Urban Decay and it is one of my favorite brands to use since I got $60 bucks worth of their makeup from a friend of my mom's. I'll admit their lipsticks fade off easy when you kiss someone or eat something, but their mascara is on fire. Not exactly the most affordable thing for a broke college student, but it is good.

Fenty Beauty

Although I never used them because of again I'm a broke college student, but I do have a lot of respect for them since they have reached to almost everyone in their market. A friend of mine uses Fenty and loves it, honestly, this is a successful venture done by Rihanna.

Maybelline

Maybelline to one of my friends is very well known for their lipsticks. From the price to the quality, to the color itself, Maybelline is a good brand in my opinion. I got one of their lipsticks and it works well, not only that, but it is affordable for broke college students.

 Benefit

With the exception of the failed contour stick, Benefit has been known for its collaborations with internet stars and other makeup brands. I respect them because they do realize their mistakes and they have good quality makeup, not the cheapest for a broke college girl. However, great quality.

NYX

NYX is known for being an affordable brand that you can get from almost everywhere, love this brand mostly for their bright colors and girly style. I don't use it much since I'm not a girly girl who uses all the pinks, but they are good.

Anastasia Beverly Hills

With the exception of their subculture palette, Anastasia has a good reputation and amazing products. Although a little expensive, it is known for its good reputation and for being an ally with the LGBTQ+ community.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
