If I Wear Make-Up, It's All Or Nothing

It can just be so much work.

There are three different types of girls in the majority, the girl who wears make-up every single day, the girl who wears no make-up and the girl who wears make-up occasionally. I am the latter of the three, but to be honest, I cannot do casual make-up. I am not the girl who can throw on a little bit of make-up and go on my way. If I am putting it on, then I am doing a full face of make-up.

Now don't get me wrong, there is absolutely nothing wrong with the girl who wears make-up, but I just simply cannot justify it. First of all, make-up is expensive and when you use it that regularly, it will have to be replaced more often and that can end up costing you a good amount of money, especially based on what make-up you end up buying.

Another reason I barely wear make-up is just that of the time it would take in the morning to do it. I'm sorry, but I value my sleep and if I can get an extra 20 minutes of sleep, I will take that overdoing make-up any day. Plus some mornings are already hard or crazy as it is, so adding make-up on top of that can just be too much.

Make-up is such a great thing though. When you get those days where you have plenty of time to get ready and you can spend time on your make-up and it turns out really well, it's such a great feeling. I may only wear make-up when I feel like it or for special occasions, but I still love it.

From beauty tutorials to make-up reviews, it is so amazing to see what people can do with make-up. Some of these looks leave me in awe because of how talented these people are and the looks that they can achieve. On top of being able to create these awesome looks, make-up adds to the beauty that you already have. There are sometimes where it just feels really nice to get all dolled up.

Make-up is also pretty a pretty fun thing to do. From trying different eyeshadows to lipsticks and even highlighters, there are so many possible mixes and combinations that you can achieve and create. In the end, even if you don't wear make-up on a daily basis or even if you do, you have to find the routine that works best for you and your lifestyle. Just because you don't wear it every day, doesn't make you any less beautiful. I may not be a fantastic beauty guru or even a great make-up artist, but I still truly enjoy make-up and I like wearing it, but if I do wear it, I am going all in or all out. There is no in-between and that's okay!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.
