People will often say that college is the best years of your life. This can be true, but only if you make the most out of your time there.

Here are five ways to make the most out of your college experience!

1. Branch out.

Entering college knowing only a few people out of the thousands can be a frightening thought. One must find comfort in the fact that you are not alone with this feeling. Therefore, the best way to conquer this fear is by branching out! Talk to anyone and everyone around you. Make friends in unexpected ways, and don't be afraid to approach anyone. By doing this, you are able to meet the most interesting and amazing people that you would have never talked to before.

2. Attend (most) events.

College can be a very busy time as you try to juggle all that schoolwork that gets thrown at you. However, you need to remember to make time for yourself to attend all the fun events that the college offers. These events are put on fellow students for you to enjoy. Therefore, go and show your appreciation and school spirit. You'll never know how much fun you'll have until you try. Also, don't be afraid to go to events outside of your comfort zone; you might just find something that you love!

3. Join as many clubs as you can.

Student organizations are abundant on most campuses. Take advantage of this! During the club fair at your school, make sure to stop at every table, even the ones you don't think you'll be interested in. Attend the first meeting of a club, and if you think you'll enjoy it, then join from there. Clubs are a great way to get involved on campus and make a whole new group of friends!

4. Stop by the college offices.

Meet the people that help make the college run smoothly by going up to all the offices in your school. These staff are there to help the students, and they usually love when students stop by to say hi. Some of these offices include residence life, student involvement, career services, financial aid and many more.

5. Cherish every moment.

College can go by in the blink of an eye. With all the fun you will have with the new friends you have made, the events you will attend, the clubs you will join and the faculty and staff that you will meet, the minutes will begin to fly by. Make sure to cherish every one that you have at college because soon these moments will all just be memories.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
