Make A Wish

What are you seeking?

7
Make A Wish
Simply Naturally and Spontaneously You

Have you ever realized how fast time is actually going? Have you ever completely paused for a moment, let time stop, and just think about it. Wasn't it just last year you got your driver's license? And didn't high school start last month? Wasn't senior prom last week? And wasn't yesterday the first day of college? One day you are a young, naive teenager, waiting to be an adult and be so independent, and before you know it, it is here and faster than you can remember, it is gone. Have you ever thought about how much time you spend wanting and pursuing and wishing? Ambition and desire is so good. Chasing every goal and dream you have ever had is so good.

Think about something again. What if you had a friend you would never see again. What would you say to them? What about if you could do one last thing for someone you love. What would you do for them? Say everything. Do everything. Do not wait on or for anything. Time is so incredibly valuable and it is the biggest gift we will ever receive. We are only granted a certain amount and when it is gone, it is gone. You are only left with wishing you pursued your time differently, especially if you didn't say or do what you wanted to. Nothing last forever, nothing ever does.

Take all of this and make a goal. Make a wish. Make a want. Write it down. Instill it in your mind, and seek it with your body. Once you have it, believe it. Believe it with every ounce of passion that is running through your body. Tell yourself and know that it is going to come true. Life is so uncertain. We never know what is going to happen next and we never will know when the next miracle or rarity is going to come from. If you follow where you are supposed to go, your next memory will come. Your next smile will meet you there. And then, your wish will be the ending factor.

So for yourself, know that your wish and goal is right around the corner. Open your heart to the acceptance that it will be there. Know that it is waiting for you with open arms. And if you do that, open yourself to the possibility and then the certainty, you are going to get what you wished for. What you worked for. And most importantly what you wanted.

This world is full of so much, you know that. You know it is full of so much hope and love and compassion and applause. But you also know it is full of hate and jealously and uncertainty. But what this world is so full of, that you don't always know, is magic. The thing is, it is just up to you to believe in it.

If you believe that magic is right in front of you, that it is always with you, and if you completely open your heart and mind to the possibility of it and the presence of it, you will get what you wished for, every time. So go, go and make your wish. Have it in your soul. And never stop believing in it until it comes true, you owe it to yourself.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
