DJ Khaled, Major Key, #1 Album on the Billboard 200

First off, "all praise to the most high up" 🙏 followed by a major BLESS UP, because Major Key hits all the feels! Anthem, after anthem, after ANOTHA anthem, they couldn't stop you! So, lemme give some love and praise to each of these hits. Some fan love that's wishing you only more success. 🔑

1. I Got the Keys (feat. JAY Z & Future)

"MAJOR KEY ALERT!"
DJ Khaled was not playing when he chose this as the opening anthem to Major Key. Future got the keys on this one, and he puts this song on the radar. Jay Z spits some real special talk on this beat, but we already knew it was, "one to one, soon as we heard that uh, uh, uh". What can we say, other than...his wife Beyoncé, he brag different.

2. For Free (feat. Drake)

"THEY DON'T WANT US TO HAVE ANOTHER ANTHEM"
When I listen to this, I feel like I'm dancing in Drake's backyard, at one of his summer pool parties, (where his pool is obviously bigger than Kanye's). When DJ Khaled and Drake collaborate, it's guaranteed to be a hot track, and For Free is just that.

3. Nas Album Done (feat. Nas)

"CLASSIC SHIT, TIMELESS, FOREVER ICONIC, DJ KHALED!"
Khaled called, and Nas didn't just put his album on hold for Major Key, he made us not want to wait any longer to hear it. This song is the perfect tease and introduction to Nas' album, and we can only expect that it'll only assist to push the culture forward.

4. Holy Key (feat. Big Sean, Kendrick Lamar & Betty Wright)

"HOLY, HOLY, HOLY, HOLY KEY"
I mean, with these features you can't fail. Big Sean, the energies that this song manifests are more than just positive. Try, Keeping up with Kendrick Lamar, because he just KILLS this--literally he turns our minds into dust. And Betty Wright's vocals shine, making me feel like I'm surrounded by angels! This anthem lives up to its name.

5. Jermaine's Interlude (feat. J. Cole)

"CAN'T CALL IT"
Jermaine, Jermaine, nothing else is needed for an anthem on Major Key. J. Cole's ability to come off so raw, truthful, and relatable is unmatched. He seems like one of the most humble, yet influential rappers and I have a lot of respect for him, this interlude included.

6. Ima Be Alright (feat. Bryson Tiller & Future)

"I'MA BE ALRIGHT, I'MA BE JUST FINE"
What do we have hear, another anthem? Well, when you integrate Khaled, with Future, and B. Tiller, "it's just the way it is". We all love the tracks that they can rap, and spit facts on, making us feel like we'll always be alright.

7. Do You Mind (feat. Nicki Minaj, Chris Brown, August Alsina, Jeremih, Future & Rick Ross)

"WE THE BEST MUSIC!"
This song includes everything we could have hoped for from DJ Khaled's Major Key. Limitless features with familiar vibes, but proves to be anything but average. So many great versus from the artists on this track, but I don't mind giving it to Nicki's line, "“But I hit'em with them 'Bron/Iguodala blocks.”

8. Pick These Hoes Apart (feat. Kodak Black, Jeezy & French Montana)

"ANOTHER ONE"
The perfect trio to represent shinin', and another Major Key alert. Each verse delivers with the boss talk, and they each play their part. Reminding us to, "love 'em with your minds and never with your heart".

9. F**k Up the Club (feat. Future, Rick Ross, YG, & Yo Gotti)

"AND IT'S TOAST MUSIC"
We cannot praise the talent that collaborated to create Major Key enough, and this song is no different. The whole crew was brought on to fire up this track, and it MUST BE PLAYED on the way to the club!

10. Work For It (feat. Big Sean, Gucci Mane & 2 Chainz)

"GIVE UP EVERYTHING"
Representing commitment and risk taking, this anthem provides us with "more major keys than a locksmith". While representing success, Big Sean also does a great job reminding us what comes first.

11. Don't Ever Play Yourself (feat. Jadakiss, Fabolous, Fat Joe, Busta Rhymes & Kent Jones)

"PLAY YOURSELF AND LAY YOURSELF"
If there wasn't already an anthem about the importance of striving for success, and never quitting, here's anotha one! This is one of DJ Khaled's most important mottos, don't ever play yourself. So, in case you forget, play this song and you will quickly be reminded!

12. Tourist (feat. Travis Scott & Lil Wayne)

"STRAIGHT UP!"
A Travis Scott and Lil' Wayne collab cannot, and does not, disappoint. They winnin' while bringing new heat to tourism. How does this song make us feel? Damn, we feel great!

13. Forgive Me Father (feat. Meghan Trainor, Wiz Khalifa & Wale)

"MAJOR KEY, SPECIAL CLOTH"
Another anthem! I've sung my heart out to this song everyday since Major Key dropped, and I'm still not over it. This gets me ready to act on change. I'm wondering, "would a hook change my fate" too Wale, because a song dedicated to making amends for our inner demons, makes me feel that way.

14. Progress

"LIFE WITH NO STRESS"
Such a feel good song! It makes you want to dance the stresses of life away. And it's the perfect closing anthem for DJ Khaled's Major Key.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
