If you are a sucker for pain or if you are a sucker for love, Suicide Squad is the movie for you. It was an incredible movie not just for all of the action and the suspense but for the one of the most amazing love stories: The Joker and Harley Quinn.
Everyone is always rooting for the good guys, this time I am rooting for the bad guys and I’m not so sure they are bad after all. The Joker and Harley Quinn might be villains but the love they have for each other is quite the opposite. Harley Quinn starts off as Dr. Harleen Quinzel, an extremely promising psychiatrist who was assigned to treat the Joker at Arkham Asylum. Here is where their love story just begins as Dr. Harleen Quinzel was obsessed with the Jokers type of insanity, The Joker noticed and took advantage of his opportunity and soon she was falling in love with him, making her his right hand woman: Harley Quinn. The Joker and Harley Quinn have quite an interesting relationship, and they show their love for each other in the most fascinating way.
He is always proud of her.
Harley Quinn is such a free spirit, dancing in the club, doing her own thing, and The Joker is so accepting and proud of who she is, just the way she is. I mean who wouldn't be proud if their woman could dance on a pole with pink and blue pony tails and still look hot. If someone else had their eyes on her, he took care of it without hesitation. What girl doesn't want a proud and protecting man. Needless to say The Joker makes sure that everyone knows that Harley Quinn is his woman.
He loves her exactly for who she is.
Harley Quinn rises on the crazy scale as she starts shooting at Batman. The Joker and Harley drive away while she screams to Batman that he is ruining their date night. Their idea of a date night is kind of twisted but I still find it amazing that The Joker loves every ounce of crazy in Harley Quinn. By the end of the movie you will come to love her craziness too. What girl doesn't want a guy who loves her for exactly who she is and doesn't want to change one thing about her, even if she is crazy.
She is always confident in who they are.
Batman takes Harley Quinn and The Joker is nowhere to be found, she never seemed to worry at all. She had the utmost confidence in The Joker that she would see him again. And before you know it The Joker was planning to break her out and take his woman back. Every guy loves a confident woman especially one who is confident in her man.
He goes back for her, because she is his woman.
The most profound scene of The Joker rescuing Harley Quinn is when he dressed up in a suit and tie to save her. He dressed for the occasion, the return of his lover. Not only did he dress up he mentioned to her that he had plans for them that night. The Joker is so thoughtful when it comes to Harley Quinn. I mean who wouldn’t want their dream man dressed up with plans in mind when he saves you in his helicopter?
And he will go back for her again.
The Joker was able to be with Harley for just a split second before they were separated again, this time Harley thought that he was gone forever. Harley Quinn is a strong woman and didn’t have time to grieve given the conditions the Suicide Squad was currently in. She stayed strong. To no surprise The Joker came back for his woman for the final time. He busted through the bars of the cell with his crew and he was finally reunited with the love of his life. He never gave up and pursued his right hand woman.
The Joker and Harley Quinn have such a strange love but in the most beautiful way. The Joker constantly has his sight set on Harley Quinn and Harley Quinn is head over heels for her Puddin'. The Joker will always return for Harley Quinn because true love always wins.
