Every year, through Lifestylez, LSU offers a Greek ski trip to a different city in Colorado. This year's trip was in beautiful Keystone. Last year, I went to Copper Mountain, which was significantly different from Keystone. The greens in Keystone are like blues anywhere else; you can tell they are a bit more challenging than a green run is supposed to be, but I liked that.
I enjoyed Keystone more than Copper Mountain because of the skiing and the villages. Also, Keystone had night skiing, which I have never done before, and I feel like a hotshot saying I skied the slopes in the dark.
The skiing is not the only fun part… This is a college ski trip, after all. So there are parties -- lots of them. Whether it's a condo party drinking with a few friends or one of the big parties that Lifestylez puts on, you will have a good time because of the high altitude that us Louisianians are not used to. The first big night, Bag of Donuts played. Who doesn't love them? And word was going around that they were skiing in their KISS outfits!
I am so glad LSU does this. I have been the past two years and I hope to continue going until I graduate. It is like spring break, but in the winter. Going to a different town each year, I will have covered half of the wonderful state of Colorado.
