People love to hate on Kanye almost as much as Kanye loves himself.
The problem with our culture is that we are intimidated by other people's confidence. More often than not, we shy away from setting high goals because we are afraid we will never reach them. From health, academics, relationships and careers - we can be our own worst enemy.
The fact of the matter is that in order to accomplish anything in life you have to be the first to believe in yourself. When you tell people you want to run a marathon, they probably won't believe you. As humans, it is our nature to think "realistically" yet somehow, "realistically" has turned into setting extremely average goals for ourselves.
Kanye west grew up in poverty and is now worth over $130 million. Whether you hate her, love her, or love to hate her, he is married to one of the most beautiful women on the planet, Kim Kardashian. He lives by his lyrics, "I'll do anything just to say I got it" from "Touch The Sky."
The Kanye that we don't know is the Kanye that we don't see. The father, the husband, the philanthropist, artist and genius. Like all celebrities, Kanye's persona has been masked by what the media portrays.
The Kanye we neglect to acknowledge is the Kanye that is not just a musician, but a creative artist. He has changed the fashion world from euro-centric to urban, solid and casual clothing. In the past year, Yeezy has influenced the trends of many young Americans.
Instead of hating Kanye, use him as your inspiration. There will always be people that say you're not good enough, smart enough, or pretty enough. You have to be overly confident in order to get somewhere. Every time someone fails to believe in you, some of that confidence diminishes. If you believe in yourself 200 percent, you'll be left with just enough to be "smarter, better, faster, stronger" as Kanye would say.
