"Is it the Pumpkin Spice flavors?" "Maybe it is the vanilla cookie scents we put in our candle warmers." "No, it has to be the sweater weather." I can never pinpoint why autumn is my favorite season, but maybe that's the exact reason why I love it so much. There are a variety of reasons why I consider fall the best season, and here are a few that come to mind:
1. Sweater weather
There's nothing I love more than an excuse to buy cute sweaters (even if they're from Goodwill). Sweaters are warm and comforting.
2. Boots
Ankle boots, riding boots, combat boots, booties ... there are boots that fit everyone's likes. Not only are they fashionable, but they also protect your feet from rainy weather and crunchy leaves.
3. Fall colors
Fall colors give off a warm feeling. It also reminds me of Thanksgiving. More importantly, the food at Thanksgiving feasts!
4. No more humidity
I can wear my hair however I want without thinking about how it will be effected by humidity from two minutes of walking outdoors!
5. Bonfires
Fall offers the perfect weather for a bonfire. There's something about bonfires that brings relationships even closer than before. Also, s'mores. Mmm, s'mores.
6. Settled routine
We get in that time of the semester where we are used to our schedules and can manage spending a little more time socializing with our friends.
7. Pumpkins
Painting pumpkins, pumpkin carving, pumpkin picking, Pumpkin Spice Lattes, pumpkin seeds, pumpkins used for decorations ... When it comes to fall, pumpkins are literally everything. You are doing fall right unless you have some sort of pumpkin in your life.
8. Halloween
I mean, who doesn't like dressing up one night pretending to be, "a mouse, DUH!"
9. Thanksgiving
As I stated earlier. Food. And getting to spend time with family is always a plus.
10. Hayrides
So fun, it doesn't need a description.
11. Fall scents
Vanilla cookies, pumpkin spice, apple pie, mmm. Fall scents may be a little overwhelming when you step inside a Yankee Candle or a Bath and Body Works store, but when you step foot in a home that smells like fall, it can be so welcoming.
12. S'mores

13. Movies
This is one of my favorite times to reminisce on the old Disney Channel movies! You know, "Halloweentown," "Hocus Pocus," "Twitches" (LOL).
14. Snuggle weather
Thank you, Fall, for giving me an excuse to get closer with my boyfriend.
15. Warm Starbucks drinks
I tried to stay away from this, but Starbucks just HAD to make the list. Who doesn't like themselves a PSL (that's Pumpkin Spice Latte for those who aren't a fan of the oh so wonderful Starby's). Perfect way to wake up in the morning and prepare you for your 9 a.m. class.
Those are the main reasons why I ALWAYS welcome fall with open arms!
