Dear McDonald's,
Let me be frank: I love you. I'm in love with you.
I love your $1 drinks. I love your beautiful chicken nuggets. I love the way your fries are salted perfectly.
Every time I drive by, I can't help but get a McFlurry. And a shake. And a large Dr. Pepper. And a burger and a fry. I love every part about you. Everything about you is the most beautiful thing I have ever witnessed.
I can't lie to you. My day isn't complete until I go to you and splurge. I think I'm addicted to you, McDonald's. I can't imagine my life without you, and I think about you nearly every time I am hungry—which is always. You are my fatty soulmate.
I know you're bad for me, but I can't help myself. You're so tempting, and every college kid's dream: cheap and delicious. I just want you all to myself, forever and always.
I don't know what I would do without your pancakes at midnight. I don't know what I would do without your $1 ice cream cones. I don't know what I would do without you, McDonald's. You are the one for me. If I could marry you, I would in a heartbeat. You've clogged my arteries with love.
You're the Noah to my Allie, the Ron to my Hermione, and the Mr. Darcy to my Elizabeth.
You're my better half, McDonald's. I know I've cheated on you with Taco Bell. Please, please forgive me. They don't understand me like you do. They don't even have Dr. Pepper. Who doesn't have Dr. Pepper?
But you do. You're always there for me. Whether I need caffeine or a quick lunch or some ice cream after a bad day, you're always there. You're so good to me, McDonald's. I don't know what I would do without you. You are the first thing on my mind in the morning, and the last thing I think about before I go to bed at night. I see your golden arches and my heart flutters.
Every time I see you, I fall in love again. Every time you come out with a new menu item, I feel joy. You bring me joy, McDonald's. I love you. When I first met you, I had no idea how much you could possibly mean to me. I hope you know now: I will love you endlessly.
All my love,
Gretchen
P.S. I'm lovin' it
