A Love Letter To Pinterest

Dear Pinterest,

I'm sure you've seen it coming for some time now...and you're right, I love you. You've always been there for me. Whether it's early in the morning, or late at night when I can't sleep, you're always there to keep me company. You're all I can think about! You have the answers to everything. Where would I be without you?

You are the GREATEST wedding planner.

Who needs celebrity wedding planner, Mindy Weiss, when I have you? From dress to decorations and everything in between, you've shown me exactly what a look in my wedding dreams looks like. Most people wouldn't think to have a doughnut/pizza bar at their wedding, but thanks to you, I surely will. I hope my future husband doesn't mind me already having the color scheme, theme, and reception planned! Pinterest, you know that I love you, but you still find joy in helping me celebrate the person I love...how selfless of you!

You've shown me how to look my best.

DIY face masks? I'll try it! How to grow your hair longer? Just what I need. If I'm ever running out of ideas with what I should do next with my hair, you're the first person to give me ideas on what would look the best on me. I wouldn't know how to do a perfect smokey eye if it weren't for all your helpful tips and tricks, and I surely wouldn't know how to contour my face to chiseled perfection. Although I can't afford every outfit you show me, you always give me ideas on new outfits. You always want me to look fabulous, how sweet!

You've allowed me to find my inner artist.

Everyone has an inner Van Gogh, or Joanna Gaines. You offer me so many different type of DIY projects, there is always one that I know I can successfully complete. Somehow, through all the scrolling, you find a way to inspire me. My room wouldn't be the same if it weren't for all those projects you've tempted me to craft. Thanks to you, all my friends think I'm super crafty! Thank you for always getting my creative juices flowing.

You are wise beyond your years.

I've never known someone to be so full of words and wisdom. My favorite bonding time is when it's the middle of the night and I can't sleep so I read all your quotes. No matter my mood, you always know what to say. We have spent a lot of time together in tears from all your sad life quotes, but we have also spent many hours feeling inspired from all your motivational quotes. I know I can always turn to you when I need words of encouragement.

You are a great cook.

I thought my mom was a good cook until I saw all of your recipes. I know I will never go hungry with you in my life. You always know the right thing to eat, whether I want to indulge or eat healthy. Remember that time you showed me 21 different ways to make breakfast toast? Or that time you gave me the recipe for Parmesan Crusted Pork Chops? My future family, and I, thank you.

You've been there through it all, Pinterest. I'll never forget the day we met because my life has been changed ever since. You may not be the love of my life and I may spend more time on other social media, but you will always be my number one.

Love,

A mildly obsessed Pinner

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
