Love Is A Whore

Nothing gets around like love.

Love Is A Whore

What is love?

I mean, is there anyone who is out there that can truly say they know what love is?

While talking with a friend, we were discussing that the word "love" is used so much and so loosely in the world that it almost becomes one of those dreaded four-letter words. The number of times that this word is used under false pretenses is too many to even begin to count, but when you finally find that one person to make your heart melt, love becomes a special thing.

Did you ever stop and consider that Love, is more than shared between partners?

Love.

A word that forms a variety of different emotions.

Happiness, sadness, anger, jealousy; love breaks your heart.

Love controls us; it makes us believe that we are infatuated with another human being. At times, it's real, and other times... it destroys us.

Through good times and bad times, love can even be your best friend. You share it with others; you keep it to yourself. Love gets around.

Do you remember the first time you said, "I love you"?

I love you, friend.

After family, one of the first forms of love you might experience is found in the form of friendship. I enjoy having people whom I can share anything with.

I love you, honey.

It takes time to find that one person who can capture your heart and share those special moments with. When you find that person, you will want to hold on to them forever.

I love you.

So easily flows from the tongue, past the lips, and into the ears of any passerby. Love is there for you during times of happiness and times of heartbreak.

I love you, mom.

Love is shared between family, even when you are distant. Whether owned or disowned, it's a feeling that doesn't just go away.

I love you, kiddo.

I never knew how much I could truly love someone until I had kids of my own. Not only do I have enough love to give one child, but each of my children embraces love in a day to day basis.

I love you, pizza. I especially love those nights where I don't have to cook a meal; sometimes it's nice to order delivery.

As you can tell, there are different tones to each form of love. From human to food, we love our pets too!

While this four letter word is spelled the same (even though many will argue that "luv" is meant to be used in a friendship form), love has been and always will be found in proper tense.

Love is insane; it makes us do crazy things, things that we would never imagine ourselves to do.

Sometimes good, sometimes bad.

Love is a whore.

"You are my best friend, my human diary, and my other half. You mean the world to me."

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
