Did you ever notice that when the warmer weather comes, everyone seems to be in a happier mood? Sundresses, shorts, and sandals come out, many cars are en route to the beach and ice cream becomes necessary with all three meals. Personally, I have a love/hate relationship with the warm weather. I love it for all the reasons I've listed above. I can put away my Uggs, don't have to worry about a jacket, or shiver through a smoothie. The beach is a prospect, as well as other outdoor activities. The boring part of winter is finally gone.
So why would I hate it?
Well, there's the sweat, the humidity, the hot car seats left in the sun for too long, etc. And if you have curly hair like I do, forget trying to style it. Did I mention I hate sweat?
Now, these are all completely first-world problems. I enjoy the summer, the warm weather and all that comes with it. Everyone I've known all my life has complained about the heat in August and the cold in February. Can't wait for the cooler weather by September, longing for the heat by March. It's a vicious cycle, and kind of comedic if you think about it.
Today was 80 degrees, and in two days it will be 90. It's only May, and everyone is happy, including me. I am so excited for summer. My family is, as well as my friends. The pool, the beach, no layering and longer days. It's all good and for some people, it's the best time of the year.
So happy summer everyone! Happy sweating, happy beaching, happy humidity and happy night swims in the pool! Everything is good.

(I'm still going to complain, and so will you.)
