It's truly a love/ hate relationship with my long hair.

I love how pretty it is, When it's clean!

I have naturally oily hair so it's an everyday wash situation. After it's fluffy and pretty.

I hate the fact that I have to wash it EVERYDAY.

If I don't wash it everyday I look gross. My roots have that oily look and sticks to my scalp. It makes me wish I had a different type of hair.

It's low maintenance and I love that.

Other than the daily wash it doesn't require much in the way of upkeep. Brush in the morning and it's good to go all day. Most of the time anyway.

I hate my split ends.

The longer it gets the more split ends I have. They make brushing after washing a bit of a nightmare.

It's easy to color/ bleach and I dig that.

My hair doesn't take long to absorb color or change to a lighter shade when being bleached. 20 minutes under the dryer and I'm good to go.

It grows too fast.

It grows at a quick rate. You know the saying that you either get good hair or good nails. I have good hair and my wallet can't quite keep up with the growth rate to keep the roots bleached.

It's healthy and that makes me happy.

My hair is very healthy. It makes the constant bleaching easy because it can withstand the damage.

It's fine and that makes me not so happy.

Each strand is very fine which makes for massive knots that make me want to cry when I have to brush them out.

It's versatile and I love it.

My hairdresser loves to try new things on my hair because of its versatility. Up do's, braids, different styles. She can play with my hair for hours.

It won't hold a perm, and I hate that.

I love the look of curly hair but my hair does not like the thought of it. I have had perms a couple of times and within a month they fall flat.

It drys quickly after a wash.

I don't have to use a blow dryer unless I'm in a hurry for it for it to dry. No need to heat damage my lovely locks.

Straight hair can be a bit boring.

There is a lot that you can do with straight hair but because I'm picky with hair styles and such it just stays straight.

It gets compliments all the time.

From the color to the length, I get a lot of compliments about my hair.

Long hair means headaches.

Leaving it a ponytail for long periods of time often leaves me with a killer headache after taking it down.

Straight hair goes with any outfit.

My long straight hair works with dressy outfits or jeans and a t-shirt. There is no need to change my hairstyle for the outfit I want to wear.

It gets pulled A LOT.

It doesn't get done on purpose but it gets pulled by my son and my fiance all the time. It's even gotten caught in the car door. OUCH!

Long hair has its likes and dislikes. It's beautiful but it can also be a handful to at times. I definitely have a love/ hate relationship with my hair but I wouldn't change it for anything.

Taylor Swift in orange dress playing a moss-covered piano on stage with bright lights.

A three-and-a-half-hour runtime. Nine Eras. Eleven outfit changes. Three surprise songs. Zero breaks. One unforgettable evening. In the past century, no other performer has put on an electric performance quite like Taylor Swift, surpassing her fans ‘wildest dreams’. It is the reason supporters keep coming back to her shows each year. Days later, I’m still in awe of the spectacle ‘Miss Americana’ puts on every few days in a new city. And, like one of Taylor’s exes, has me smiling as I reminisce about the memories of the night we spent together.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.
