Love comes in many different forms. Many different furs and different breeds. My dog is a Dachshund and Terrier mix...we think. Her name is Sophie and she is cute but a turd. She has just as much sass as I do. She is definitely difficult but I wouldn't have it any other way. Here is what it is like living with Sophie.
1. The bed belongs to Sophie
If she falls asleep in the middle of the bed, then she is not moving. Then I have to sleep on half of my queen size bed.
2. Sassy Sophie
She talks back and then we argue. She is basically a toddler.
3. Buying endless toys
There is nothing that she won't chew up into tiny pieces.
4. I want to take her everywhere
We should make everywhere more accepting of dogs. If you clean up after them and they act well then what is the issue?
5. Googling how to make Sophie a service dog for "support"
Don't tell me that we haven't all thought about this for our dogs? Act like your day wouldn't be better with your dog by your side.
6. Early morning wake up calls
If Sophie has to potty as 3 in the morning, then she will potty one way or another. Goodbye sleep!
7. Unconditional love
Dogs are loving and should never be taken for granted. I can look at Sophie and see nothing but love and loyalty. It is amazing how dogs just seem to know things. Sophie knows when I'm sick and will be gentle with me. She always wants to play and she won't stop until someone plays with her. Yes, she is a mess and a turd at times, I wouldn't trade her for the world. I never would have thought that a dog would be my best friend! My love for this furry animal grows every single day.
