A Broken Heart

To most that read this they will see the title and think this is another love story about a broken girl who had to find her heart. This is a story about a broken heart that she had no idea was broken.

Well here it goes. There was a girl who grew up in a huge family. A family everyone thought was blessed and amazing and beautiful. Well the children knew they were loved but to be honest most did not feel the love. Now I know everyone thinks they are just kids they do not know what they are talking about, yet, these kids did know they did not feel the love they felt an empty space where the love was meant to be held. One child out of the five wanted the feeling of love. She tried to find it through friends and cute boys. Little did she know this would bring her to the point of no return. A little girl around the age of thirteen looking for love never finds the true meaning of love no matter how small the amount she was willing to accept.

The little girl started to grow up and try to find the love in boys. It never showed her the meaning of love but it never gave her a better option than to offer herself up thinking that was the way to find love. After a few years and never finding anything that resembled love she was lost. Completely alone and lost in the world, she knew she couldn’t be around that environment anymore. The little girl searched for ways out of this loveless life she was trapped in, where there was no escaping because she could trust no one. Eventfully, she decided to leave and never look back. The girl planned for years going through taxes, W-2’s, online YouTube videos, and books to figure out how to learn to live on her own and support herself through the end of her high school career. Now most teenagers are to busy exploring sex, drugs and alcohol to notice anything going on with their one friend who always drank to much and was always trying to find a different person to show her just a tiny bit of attention and love.

She never found the love she was looking for; she never found the love she thought she could find. Eventually she gave up on trying to find love and just focus on things that make her happy. She was always trying to find new ways to explore and live life. Searching far and wide for happiness she tried a bunch of options. Eventually the girl realized that a dog is the only option for her to have love in her life. As sad as it sounds the girl never knew the meaning of what real love was until she met her puppers. She was able to be happy and care free and know that someone would miss her in the long run.

Sad right? Not at all, this girl never felt the love of her parents after a certain age because for some reason it did not feel like love it felt numb. There was no warm and fuzzy feeling that when Mom said she loves you that she would smile. She would want to cry instead because her mother couldn’t even tell her own daughter was broken and didn’t feel the love she thought she posed. Now this girl backs away from anyone of thing that could love her, scared and confused and lost she is on her own. Now how do you fix a broken heart that no one knew was there? The answer is you realize that your love should over power the doubt she has and be there through thick and thin. Yet, if you do not want to be that person in her life leaves. She has to figure out love and she is on her own so do not confuse her because she dose not even believe her parents when they say they love her. A broken heart will need more love than ever expected to be back together.

It’s everyone’s favorite time of year. Christmastime is a celebration, but have we forgotten what we are supposed to be celebrating? There is a reason the holiday is called Christmas. Not presentmas. Not Santamas. Not Swiftmas. Christmas.

Recently, an article on Total Sorority Move called 23 Things My Boyfriend Better Not Get Me For Christmas, was going around on social media. I hope the author of this was kidding or using digital sarcasm, but I am still repulsed and shocked by the lack of appreciation throughout this article. I would like to represent the girlfriends out there who disagree with her standpoint -- the girlfriends who would be more than happy to receive any of these gifts from their boyfriends.
