My Love Affair With Chipotle As Described By Coldplay Songs

If you have not already discovered the miracle that is called Chipotle, you will soon. Only the classiest of college students eat it on a daily basis. In fact, I have recently uncovered a brand new conspiracy: all of Coldplay's songs are secretly about Chipotle. After applying my special Cold War level decoding skills, I decrypted the following lyrics from Chris Martin about our beloved burrito place. The underlying message is a story of everyone's love affair with Chipotle, from the initial craving to the final fullness.

1. Wake up thinking about Chipotle.

Song: "Always in My Head"

I think of you
I haven't slept
I think I do
But I don't forget
My body moves
Goes where I will
But though I try my heart stays still
It never moves
Just won't be led
And so my mouth waters to be fed
And you're always in my head

2. You refuse to let the E. coli outbreak stop you from getting your fix.

Song: "Shiver"

I'll always be waiting for you
So you know how much I need you
But you never even see me, do you
And is this is my final chance of getting you
And on and on from the moment I wake
To the moment I sleep
I'll be there by your side
Just you try and stop me
I'll be waiting in line
Just to see if you care

3. When you have to wait in a long line.

Song: "Parachute"

In a haze of stormy haze,
I'll be round, I'll be loving you always, always.
Here I am and I take my time,
Here I am and I'll wait in line always, always.

4. As you eagerly watch the employee put all the ingredients in the burrito bowl.

Song: "Yellow"

Your skin,
Oh yeah your skin and bones,
Turn into
Something beautiful,
Do you know,
For you I'd bleed myself dry,
For you I'd bleed myself dry.

5. When you finally sit down with your Chipotle.

Song: "Charlie Brown"

Light a fire, light a spark
Light a fire, a flame in my heart
We'll run wild oh
We'll be glowing in the dark
We'll be glowing in the dark

6. When you forget to order guac and chips.

Song: "Princess of China"

Once upon a time we fell apart
You're holding in your hands the two halves of my heart
Ohhhhh, ohhhhh!
Oooooooh-oh oh oooooooh oh oh oh ohhhhhhhhh
Oooooooh-oh oh oooooooh oh oh oh ohhhhhhhhh
Cause you really hurt me
No you really hurt me

7. When your friend asks to try some.

Song: "Major Minus"

They got one eye watching you
One eye on what you do
So be careful who it is you're talking to
They got one eye watching you
One eye on what you do
So be careful what it is you're trying to do
And be careful when you're walking in the view
Just be careful when you're walking in the view

8. When you realize it’s almost all gone, and you cradle the remains in your arms.

Song: "Us Against The World"

And if we could float away
Fly up to the surface and just start again
And lift off before trouble just erodes us in the rain
Just erodes us in the rain
Just erodes us and see roses in the rain
And sing slow it down
Slow it down
Through chaos as it swirls
It's us against the world
Through chaos as it swirls
It's us against the world

9. When you finish and the deliciousness is forever gone.

Song: "Up in Flames"

So it's over,
This time I know it's gone
Salt water tasted it too long
I only know I'm wrong
Now I know it's gone
Up in flames, up in flames
Up in flames we have slowly gone

10. The burrito coma.

Song: "Lost"

Just because I'm hurting
Doesn't mean I'm hurt
Doesn't mean I didn't get
What I deserved
No better and no worse

11. You go to sleep with a happy, full belly.

Song: "Yes [Chinese Sleep Chant]"

Fall asleep
Fall asleep
Sleep satisfied
Sleep satisfied
Fall asleep
Fall asleep
Sleep satisfied
Sleep satisfied
Sleep
Sleep
Sleep

12. When you dream about getting Chipotle the next day.

Song: "Paradise"

So she ran away in her sleep and dreamed of
Para-para-paradise, para-para-paradise, para-para-paradise
Every time she closed her eyes

By now, I assume you have finally been swayed to the dark side.

Don't disappoint Chris Martin. Be like this kid:

Taylor Swift in orange dress playing a moss-covered piano on stage with bright lights.

A three-and-a-half-hour runtime. Nine Eras. Eleven outfit changes. Three surprise songs. Zero breaks. One unforgettable evening. In the past century, no other performer has put on an electric performance quite like Taylor Swift, surpassing her fans ‘wildest dreams’. It is the reason supporters keep coming back to her shows each year. Days later, I’m still in awe of the spectacle ‘Miss Americana’ puts on every few days in a new city. And, like one of Taylor’s exes, has me smiling as I reminisce about the memories of the night we spent together.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

Sister | Brother Style - Word Press

For a moment your world is spinning. The phone alarm has just scared you awake and you’re flooded by daunting thoughts of the day ahead. You have three assignments due and little time to work on them because of your job. You’re running late because you’ve hit snooze one to many times after yesterday’s long hours. You dizzily reach for a hoodie, craving its comfort, and rush for a speedy exit, praying you will have time to pick up coffee. Does this sound familiar?
