There is a point in everyone’s life where people begin to wonder why they aren’t happy. In addition, there are times where people may wonder why something went wrong, why certain people hurt them. That is where the process of feeling broken starts. This feeling of everlasting doom, the feeling that makes you wonder why in the end you are still here. However, with that feeling there are many positive things that could happen.
It starts with the moment where you stand in front of a mirror. For some people this is one of the most difficult things to do, especially since now we are going to pick at what you see in that mirror. As you stand there I ask you to look deeper than the skin, deeper than the inner part of your body and into the emotional part. This is the part that you never want to look at or judge. The part that you try to hide and, or try never talking about. In this part I need you to listen to your biggest fears and insecurities about yourself. This is the part when you look into that mirror and realize that those details you seen don’t define who you are. In addition, there maybe things that you wish never existed.
It takes a lot for some to admit that he or she wants to make a difference in their life. To do this the mirror is essential, this means that someone needs to realize that you yourself are the only person who needs to be happy. To determine that you must realize that after being hurt and seeing that you have the battle wounds.
With these battle wounds are the ones that are shown on the inside, this is the reason I asked you to look under the skin and deeper. These are wounds that only you see but these are the wound that make you who you are. These are the wounds that only you can heal when you see them.
To love yourself takes a long time, especially when there are a lot of things that could impact that love. The moment that someone tells you a sentence, word, or even phrase. In that moment those things stick to you and those are things that will cause the impact.
To love yourself, you need to be the one that accepts the damage that was caused by someone. In that moment you will realize that this damage caused by sooner is not your fault. Someone took something from you and then cause this distress that brings your self-esteem down.
To love yourself, don’t hold back from the letting your wings out. This mean that you need to be the person who lets other people know that you are not tied down to whatever caused you to think down about yourself. People will always cause you to hurt and people will always hurt you. Those people that hurt you don’t need in your life.
This letter, is to the people who struggle every day and for that reason I will be writing. So that people understand that you are not alone.
