You lost her.

She Would Have Given You The World But You Lost Her.

You lost her. It wasn't easy for her to walk away, but you lost her.

You lost the girl who would have done anything for you.

You lost the girl who looked at you like you were her whole world. She was the girl who looked at you as though you could do no wrong. She defended you. She stood up for you. She fought for you.

You lost the girl with the kind eyes and strong smile. The one who was going to put you above everyone else. She was there for you when no one else was, any hour of the day, any day of the week. Although her life was a mess and she had bigger things to deal with, she worried about you before herself.

You lost the girl who always had open arms. She was ready to take on the world by your side. She let you in and for her that was a big deal. She was ready to travel and explore with you. To her, the sky was the limit. She thought you agreed but then you lost her.

You started to open up to her. She was someone you could trust. Your family loved her. She babysat your cousins. She celebrated birthdays, holidays, and anniversaries with you. You made so many memories with her, but those weren't enough.

You lost her when you decided that she wasn't enough. When you thought that someone else could be better. Maybe you thought you'd find someone prettier, more interesting, or more compassionate to replace the girl who was giving you her whole world.

But what you lost, was the girl who could be both. She was the girl who could be pretty at the party on Friday and cute and cuddly on Saturday morning. The girl who would make you breakfast in the morning and talk to you about your day.

You lost her when you decided not to fight for her. You took the easy way out and you lost her. You got comfortable and stopped appreciating what you had right in front of you. You got distracted by the things that you wanted and forgot about the things that you needed. But either way...

You lost her.

She opened her eyes and realized that she deserves the world too. She deserves someone to fight for her the way she always fought for you. She deserves someone to look at her like she's someone's whole world. She thought that you were the one who could do that but you weren't so you lost her.

I hope you made the right choose because if not, it's too late. You already lost her.

You lost the girl who would have given you the world.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
