You might be thinking, "Silly writer, Alaska was never lost!", and although this is true, I'm actually talking about John Green's debut novel, "Looking For Alaska!"

Earlier this year, author John Green tweeted that Hulu was in the midst of creating an eight-episode limited adaptation of his first novel, "Looking For Alaska," Around nine o'clock Arizona time on October 30th, fans were blessed with a tweet from the author in regards to who will be playing the lead roles of the Hulu-adaptation. Charlie Plummer, star of the A24 film "Lean on Pete", will portray the bookish, Florida native, Miles "Pudge" Halter. Alongside him is Kristine Froseth, popularly known from her role as Veronica from the Netflix Original film "Sierra Burgess Is a Loser", who will be taking on the role of the beautiful and enigmatic Alaska Young.

Having read the novel during the summer of my sophomore year of high school over five years ago, I am absolutely ecstatic for the Hulu series to be released. I am especially excited to see what Charlie Plummer and Kristine Froseth bring to the scene as they portray Miles and Alaska. One thing I'm almost one hundred percent certain that we can all agree on is that like "The Fault In Our Stars" voiced the quote "Okay?" "Okay", we are all looking forward to the voicing of "if people were rain, I was drizzle and she was a hurricane."

It's always so exciting to see books brought to life, and even more so when they are done right. For years, we've seen our beloved books brought to life such as "The Hunger Games" trilogy, "The Twilight Saga," the "Divergent" series, "Before I Fall," and many, many more. When I first heard that Netflix had given Jay Asher's "Thirteen Reasons Why" a live-adaptation, I marked my calendar for its release day so I could immediately start watching! I'm sure the same feeling resonated with readers of Jenny Han's "To All The Boys I've Loved Before," especially when the lovely Lana Condor and heartthrob Noah Centineo took to the screen to portray the infamous Lara Jean Covey and Peter Kavinsky!

Unlike his novel "The Fault In Our Stars" that was released in 2012 and was adapted into a film in 2014 starring Shailene Woodley and Ansel Elgort, "Looking For Alaska" has undergone a long and treacherous thirteen years of waiting for a live-adaptation until a deal was made with Hulu just this year. Who do we have to thank for this? The man who endured this journey just so diehard John Green fans can see Halter and Young come to life, Josh Schwartz! In 2005, around the time that Green was writing the unpublished manuscript of "Looking For Alaska", Schwartz had come onto the scene as the youngest series creator with the breakout hit teen drama "The O.C."

For all the John Green fans out there, there is also news of his latest novel, "Turtles All The Way Down," turning into a movie, courtesy of Fox purchasing the rights to the book, which was made public in an announcement on his YouTube page. If you can't wait that long, you can always pick up the book or watch his other adaptations!

In honor of Mother’s Day, I have been thinking of all the things my mom does for my family and me. Although I couldn’t write nearly all of them, here are a few things that moms do for us.

They find that shirt that’s right in front of you, but just you can’t seem to find.

10 Reasons To Thank Your Best Friend

Take the time to thank that one friend in your life you will never let go of.

Thank You on wooden blocks

1. Thank you for being the one I can always count on to be honest.

A true friend will tell you if the shirt is ugly, or at least ask to borrow it and "accidentally" burn it.

2. Thank you for accepting me for who I am.

A best friend will love you regardless of the stale french fries you left on the floor of your car, or when you had lice in 8th grade and no one wanted to talk to you.

Do as I say, not as I do.

Your eyes widen in horror as you stare at your phone. Beads of sweat begin to saturate your palm as your fingers tremble in fear. The illuminated screen reads, "Missed Call: Mom."

Growing up with strict parents, you learn that a few things go unsaid. Manners are everything. Never talk back. Do as you're told without question. Most importantly, you develop a system and catch on to these quirks that strict parents have so that you can play their game and do what you want.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!
