Looking Back On David Bowie's Greatest Hits

When David Bowie unexpectedly passed away on January 10th at the age of 69, he left many of his fans in shock. He was known to many generations as an incredibly talented musician and, in some cases, an actor. Here is a look back at some of David Bowie's most memorable songs.

"Space Oddity" (1969)

"Ziggy Stardust" (1972)

"Rebel Rebel" (1974)

"Fame" (1975)

"Heroes" (1977)

"Peace on Earth/ The Little Drummer Boy" (1977) with Bing Crosby

"Ashes to Ashes" (1980)

"Let's Dance" (1983)

"Lazarus"

It's interesting that "Lazarus" was the last song that he released. His long-time friend and producer Tony Visconti said he was turning his death into a work of art. Visconti said that Bowie's new album, "Blackstar," which was released a few days ago, was "his parting gift."

Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
