It's hard to imagine that Zayn Malik has been gone from One Direction for almost a year. Where has the time gone?! His departure was mourned by millions of Directioners worldwide and even split fans between supporting 1D and Zayn.

Even though Zayn leaving the band was devastating to my life (as it should be for every normal 22-year-old), I was embarrassingly excited when he announced via Twitter that his first solo single and music video would be released on Friday, January 29. This was the moment we have all been waiting for: New music from Zayn Malik!
