Long Hair Probs

Long hair, don't care. (Or do I?)

Long Hair Probs

We long-haired ones must stick together. We know the struggle of attempting to keep our hair under wraps, but at the same time wanting to rock it and flaunt it! Having long hair is so much fun and gives you lots of options, but at the same time, deep down, we just want to rip our hair out.

1. Windows are not your friend.

Opening the windows? Driving in a convertible? Don't even think about it. We all know how the pain of attempting to see where we are going while casually getting hit in the face repetitively by our luscious locks feels.

2. But detangling spray certainly is!

This was made from the gods. While you may need a gallon of it at a time, detangler always does the trick.

3. Your hair gets caught in chairs.

And it hurts. So. Bad.

4. The feeling of taking your hair out of a ponytail is glorious.

Even though you have the crease, it feels oh so good.

5. Your showers are twice as long as everyone else's.

"Why do you always take so long?"

"Have you ever looked at my hair...?"

6. It looks ridiculous after a pool day.

Anyone need a mop? Got one right on my head!

7. You can surely rock an updo, but it takes hours to get all that hair up there.

Up-dos are so fun to wear and are the perfect go-to for special occasions. But we all know they take about two hours just to put all the hair up there.

8. Curls fall after about two seconds, even with an immense amount of hairspray.

Four different types of extra strength-hold hairspray later and you still have straight spots and fly-aways.

9. Doesn't matter how hard you try, you'll always miss a spot.

To no avail, we always realize after we're out the door that the backs of our heads look ridiculous

10. You constantly have hair in your mouth or in your face.

It's grown to be so common that you don't even notice anymore.

11. Having your hair tie break is your worst nightmare.

We always have extra though.

12. Everyone always pets you.

Am I a dog or something?

13. You've mastered the hair flip.

I mean c'mon, we all do it.

14. Every other day you contemplate chopping it off.

Like seriously, life would be so much easier if I just had short hair!

15. But the thought quickly disappears soon after.

LOL...not happening.

Because no matter what, having long hair is a blessing and a curse that you could never live without.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
