All relationships take work. Including long distance relationships.
A long distance relationship is just like a normal one - except that there's some miles between you.
Yes, it requires a lot of communication - and sometimes there are miscommunications - just like any other relationship.
You don't see each other every single day. You don't get to go on dates together unless you plan them way far in advance. You can't always get a hug when you want to - you gotta wait for the next time you see them.
You don't get to hold their hand when you drive your car. Instead, you hope that imagining it is just as good as the real thing.
Sometimes there's a time zone difference between you. Which means that you essentially run on two different times at the same time - yours and theirs. It means you'll stay up that extra hour just to talk to them on Facebook, or hear their voice on the phone. Or tell them to sleep well and that you love them.
A lot of people tend to focus on the hard part of a long distance relationship - but there are many good things that come from it, too.

Even if it's just eating spaghetti... it's still romantic when you haven't seen each other in months.

5. The little things - like grocery shopping, or driving down the highway, or watching Netflix.
In the end, through all the difficult moments, and frustration at the miles between you, it's worth it.
