A Log About My Day

I'm just really a mess.

A Log About My Day
http://www.huffingtonpost.com

My summer day started at 6:15 am. Fun. But I got up and showered and put on my business professional outfit for my internship. (Which I will change directly into scrubs the second I get to work.) I went to work an hour late due to the fact that I was tired as shiiiiit and I was allowed to. Take my advice and never watch House of Cards with you boyfriend over FaceTime. One last look in the mirror, and I was out the door in my size 4 petite checkered pants and white button up.

Embarrassed at how my lunch looked, and unreasonably scared that the doctors would tease me for my almost healthy lunch, I ate my lunch as breakfast in the car. I got into the hospital, changed, and went into the OR, the usual. I observed a heart surgery, and tried to stutter as little as possible when the doctors and nurses talked to me, I haven't quite figured out how to approach people without a deadly fear of rejection. Don't get me wrong, the entire staff were angels and really could not have been nicer, I'm just brutally socially inept.

Lunch. Best part of my day. I can finally sit down and give my back and feet a break. I went into the lounge room after getting my water bottle from my locker. (I have a locker, can you believe?) I was asked if I was going to get lunch in which I replied, 'No, I'm saving up my money.' A little sad, but I'm broke without a job so nothing unexpected. What was expected was she gave me her chips because she didn't want them, what a gal. More and more people came in, and I was still as silent as ever. It was brought up about how quiet I am, I was told I was part of the crew. ME, A PART OF THE CREW!!!! Lunch went on for a while.

Fast forward to the end of my day at the hospital, I was changing, in nothing but my undies, an alarm went off, and I still changed. I went out and emergency vehicles were there so, I was safe.

On the way home, I picked up my boyfriend and got groceries to make cupcakes for the staff tomorrow.

The day continued, and never in my head did I question where the ingredients were.

Now, I'm in the kitchen with disappeared groceries, and having a mental breakdown about the calls I forgot to make.

A pretty common day in the life of Kyanna, a walking nightmare.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
