Living For The Little Things

Life is full of many things that consist of ignoring your surroundings just to get a single task completed. This can make it difficult to see the things in life that make it worth living.

Living is not waking up in the morning and going to work to make money. Living is not going shopping on the weekend to get food so you don’t starve the next week. Living is not hugging your significant other when you say goodbye.

Living is finding a flower that you’ve never seen before but leaving it unplucked so maybe someone else has the chance to see it as well.

Living is the uncontrollable laughter with your friends in the middle of the night trying not to wake up your siblings.

Its skinny dipping in the middle of the night in the middle of a storm even though your mom told you not to.

Staying up all night to watch the sunset with your closest friends even if you’re sleep deprived.

Reading your favorite book while sitting outside listening to natures ruckus around you.

Its finding a new song that you really like and playing it over and over again until you know every lyric by heart.

Its kissing someone that you have been looking forward to kissing for the first time.

Playing with puppies in a store and seeing their faces light up when they get that longed for affection.

Being able to be as weird as you want with someone knowing that they don’t care and like you because you’re you.

There are so many things that make life worth living. Its just up to you to find those things.

Living does not mean following a certain regimen every single day so that you are able to stay financially stable or consistent. Its finding and appreciating the little things that don’t get as much thought as they should get. Life is full of ups and downs, and it is much more than you and the problems you are facing. Sometimes you just have to look around you and realize it is not as bad as it seems.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
