"Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma - which is living with the results of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of others' opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition". -Steve Jobs
Living is defined as "active or thriving; vigorous; strong". When a person is living, they're in the moment, doing what they choose to do because they like it, not because they're forced to do it. Living means that you're taking that risk, going on that adventure, walking on that fine life of daring and safe. A living person is out there, thriving in their community or field of work, but a person that is existing, they're doing the opposite. We define existing as "to have life or animation". By simply existing, yes you impact lives of others, but you're just there, almost like a period at the end of a sentence. The existing person is bland, boring, they mope around with their heads down, hoping and praying that they won't be noticed. The living person is doing the opposite, they want to be noticed. A living person will jump at any opportunity, fight any battle, strive for any dream.
Everyday we wake up we are faced with a multitude of challenges and triumphs. They can be hard and there will undoubtedly be struggles during your everyday life. But the thing is YOU woke up today, YOU were given yet another chance to live and prove yourself. So go out there, take that chance. Don't be the existing person who sits in the back of the room, scratching into the desk and ducking their head when a teacher or professor asks a question. Be the existing person, who rises to the opportunity, the one who isn't afraid to answer the question, even though there is a chance it could be wrong. Be the odd ball. By living, you'll be noticed, you'll seem interesting, and overall, you'll be making yourself happier each and everyday.
"Life is a dream. Realize it". -Mother Teresa
