"Imma let you finish but...." it's time to talk about The Life of Pablo Release by Kanye West in the four-beats-too-fast heart of New York City.
There are a lot of thoughts circulating about Kanye West right now and I promise this isn't an article about what I think of him. In fact, it's even better.
I was lucky enough to interview Jessica Saad, a student at NYU, who spontaneously bought tickets with her friend 30 minutes before his show at Madison Square Garden (She also sent me awesome pictures of the event). Not only did she see the Kardashian Klan dressed in fur from head to toe, but she even sat a couple of seats down from the Instagram famous "TheFatJewish" -- section 206, row 2 to be exact. (yes, jealousy is an understatement).
The Kardashian Klan weren't the only famous people she spotted. She saw Anna Wintour next to Kim Kardashian herself and Gigi and Bella Hadid. But wait, it only gets better from here because our fellow classmate Karlie Kloss was spotted in the crowd as well (NYU forever and always right?) Last but not least... Lamar Odom, Travis Scott, Tyga, Lil Kim, ASAP Rocky, Olivier Rousteing, 50 cent, and Kid Cudi were all spotted as well -- Yes, she causally saw them all. Talk about the Pursuit of Happiness.
Now for how the show actually went down...
She knew the lines to buy merchandise were going to be super long after the show, so she missed the first 20 minutes in order to buy this awesome shirt. (smart move because look how cool this shirt is!!!!!!)

She told me that the show was supposed to start at 4, but it didn't start until 4:45 because the media wanted the Kardashian Klan to make their appearance (spotted in eye-catching coats of course; check out their Instagram accounts to see what we're talking about!!)
Caroline: How did the show go down?
Jessica: Well, before the show started, there was a giant tarp over the stage and Kanye West started the show by taking his place by his sound equipment. After 10 minutes, the tarp was unveiled, smoke came out from underneath, and the models were revealed. Kanye then took a moment to encourage everyone to sing and dance along as he started performing his new album, "The Life of Pablo." The show contained two big platforms filled with models all spread out while the rest of the models were standing on the ground -- Twenty minutes into the show, the beautiful Naomi Campbell walked onto the stage. After performing his new songs, Kanye discussed his love for Adidas and then shared his new video game called "Only One: The Game" -- which revolves around his mom traveling through the gates of Heaven. Finally, he concluded with his speech about Adidas and how he wanted his collection to be more accessible to everyone through pricing and distribution.
Caroline: Did you enjoy the show/collection?
Jessica: Yes, I really enjoyed the show and the collection because it was a Kanye concert and a fashion show all in one. It was a great experience because it was so different from other NYFW shows and it was evident that Kanye put a lot of hard work to make the whole event happen. There was so much going on and no one really knew what to expect!
Cheers to Kanye and him always doing the unexpected right?
Caroline: What was your favorite part of the show?
Jessica: My favorite part of the show was when Kanye introduced the video game about his mom. I literally turned to my friend and said "What else can Kanye do... he's doing it all."
Caroline: Did the show surprise you?
Jessica: Yes, the rustic and bright colors surprised me because his last collection was more on the darker side. It was nice to see a switch. Also, I was definitely amazed when Naomi Campbell came out; a majority of the models were black and they raised their fists in the air in a "public declaration of black pride" and it was AMAZING! All of the models were beautiful and it was so creative and empowering. Finally, Kanye mentioned how he wanted to be the creative director of Hermes, and it made me wonder what it would be like if Kanye was actually given that position.
Fashion shows are always beautiful and full of so much creativity. It was exciting to have an in-depth understanding of what the Yeezy Season 3 show was like. I think the experience of any fashion show in New York City is hard to put in words because of how exciting the atmosphere is. Guess it's time to start saving up for tickets to NYFW for next year -- (no more spending money on pizza, bagels, and milkshakes ah!)
