11 Little Things To Savor Over Spring Break

I've never been more ready for a week off.

I think it's safe to say that I have never been more ready for spring break in all my years of school. These past couple of months since the start of the semester have been incredibly hectic, and I've often felt like I didn't have a single moment to breathe. However, spring break has finally arrived. Whether you're going back home or somewhere completely different, here are a few things to enjoy during your week off.

1. Your pet

I can't wait to curl in with my pup and enjoy the free time I'll finally have.

2. Not spending hours working every night

The best feeling is when you can actually take time to yourself to relax and not have to think of what you should be doing instead.

3. Driving!

Not having a car in college may be a little less to worry about, but there's no denying the calming feeling that comes with driving around your hometown.

4. Time away from screens

I spend the majority of my day using my computer or my phone, and I absolutely hate it. It's freeing to be able to leave my phone out of sight and out of mind for almost the entire day.

5. Catching up with friends

Even if we're lucky enough to have our spring breaks fall on the same week, it's not likely we'll be home the whole time. All it takes is a lunch, though, to remember why you love these people.

6. Time for family

After not having seen them for months, it's comforting to be around family again.

7. Being out of your dorm

A change of scenery never hurts.

8. Getting out of town

As much as we love our college towns, it's always nice to have a little break and see something different.

9. Catching up on shows

With all the work to do, it's pretty much impossible to keep up with new episodes every week, much less the new seasons of Netflix shows.

10. Not waking up to alarms every morning

Sleep to your heart's content.

11. Getting to stay in bed as long as you want

You don't have to rush to get to your 9:00 class, so take your time and savor the calm.

I absolutely cannot wait.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
