Dear Little Sister,
You have no idea how much I admire you. I’m supposed to be the big sister, but I look up to you. I don’t know if you know this, but you are my role model.
I love how you’re never afraid to be yourself. You own it. No matter how weird, crazy, or strange people may think you are, you don’t ever stop being you. You are one hundred percent yourself and you don’t apologize for that. You don’t try to be anyone else, and that is why so many people love to be around you. You are fearless, and I try to be more like that every day.
Speaking of being yourself, there is never a dull moment with you. You are the funniest (and strangest) person I know. You have a gift for making anything and everything funny. Words cannot express how weird you are.
You are so kind. To everyone. Even to the people in your class who are annoying, even to the people who are sometimes mean to you. You show everyone nothing but kindness, and I promise they notice that.
The way you treat and love people shows how much you love God. You let God work through you and it is so beautiful. You love people and you are kind to them because you love God. It is obvious that you have committed your life to Him. I pray that people see God through me like they do through you.
With this devotion to God comes your willingness to help. You are kind and loving, as well as helpful. You are always ready to help, whether it be volunteering at church, or school, helping out a friend, or even just helping out at home, you are always ready.
You are also incredibly encouraging. You have always encouraged me to do the things I love, and you are always there to reassure me when I don’t believe in myself. You always encourage others to, “Keep going shweetie, you’re almost there.” If I’m half as encouraging as you are, I know I’m doing well.
You are only a sophomore in high school, but you are already so smart and so wise. Not only do you kill it at school, but you are just wise about life. You don’t get into all that high school drama, and you keep a clear head.
I’m pretty sure you said to me one time, “I just don’t see the point of dating anyone until I’m ready to get married.” I sure wish I had that mindset when I was sixteen. You continue to blow me away with how wise and mature you are.
I admire so much about you, but I don’t think I’ve ever actually let you know that. So now you know. I really do look up to you (partially because you’re a few inches taller than me). You are my role model, and I hope that one day I can grow up to be just like you. I love you so much.
Love,
Your Big Sister & Number One Fan
