Your final year of high school has finally approached and these past eighteen years have gone by way too fast. It seems like just yesterday you were expressing to me how nervous you were for your freshman year of high school to begin. You have matured into such a caring, loving, and humorous man. I am so lucky to call you my brother.
I know you are probably extremely excited to begin your senior year and that you are already looking forward to your graduation date. However, enjoy this final year. Take this school year day by day and make the most out of your senior year. It will go by so fast and the next thing you know you will be wishing you were still in high school.
Take advantage of every single opportunity this year whether it is hanging out with friends, playing sports, and attending prom. You will never get your senior year back so make it the best one yet. But, do not get too carried away with all the amazing memories you will be making because school still comes first.
Do not make the mistake of slacking in school and letting your grades slip. Believe it or not colleges still look at your grades from senior year. A final transcript will get sent out to the college you decide to attend. Keep your grades up and do not give up. All four years you have worked so hard and earned your spot in the National Honors Society. Do not taint the image you have cultivated due to a lack of effort. Even though your high school career is ending your collegiate career is just beginning.
I know that you will have an outstanding year academically as well as athletically. I will be on the sidelines cheering you on every step of the way. Be the leader you have always been your whole life and take charge. You are in control because this year is all about you. I cannot wait to see you succeed this year and every single year to come. I am behind you with every single decision you make because that is what big sisters are for.
Live it up bro! I am so proud of you and cannot wait to see what the future has in store for you.
