Dear Little,
Wow. I can't believe it's already been a year since I started calling you mine. Even though we weren't aloud to claim, I totally did after meeting you. Now it's your turn and I cannot wait to become a grandma. Well — it's bittersweet but I'm ready for a Grand Little.
First off, I wanted to say I can't imagine a little that will be luckier to have you as their big than yours will. You are going to be an amazing mentor and an even better best friend. She is going to look up to you in the weirdest but the best of ways. You are going to be the best role model because you're smart, motivated, loyal and hilarious as all hell. You have all the qualities a great big shares with their little.
Second, take the time to get it right. Even if you don't click right from the beginning, keep trying. And if you click from the very beginning, don't ever stop trying. She is going to be one of your best friends and also your little sister. You are going to teach her everything she needs to know and she is going to come to YOU for advice. Don't be scared to give her an honest answer because that is what she is looking for.
Third, make sure to do everything I didn't do. She deserves the best of the best. I know you will give her your 110% because that's just the person you are. She will appreciate it so very much.
Fourth, show her infinite love and support. Always be there for. This is her first time alone without family, she is going to be homesick. Be her shoulder to cry on. She will want to pull her hair out because she doesn't understand a class or two. Be there to help her with her homework and tell her that you know she can do it. If she meets a boy and he screws her over, than show him who's boss. If she meets a boy and falls in love, love him with her. If she gets a little too crazy one night, get her McDonalds and water before you take her home. If she wants to stay in, stay up late and talk about life. You will learn so so much.
Little, you are going to be the best and worst influence on her all at the same time. This is a very true statement. Just you wait. You're going to make an impact on her life in a big way. I just can't wait to add the perfect little addition to our family. Even though I don't know her yet, I know she is going to be perfect just like you. She'll match the sass in our family and our sarcastic personality too. Whatever girl is lucky enough to get you as her big will understand why you are just as amazing as I say.
