5 Things You Literally Can't Even

You know those things you just CAN'T EVEN about? Well, here's some on my list.

There are so many issues going on in our world, but some of them I literally cannot even control my anger/annoyance towards. So, just to vent, here's a list of things that I literally can't even with:

1. Sexual Assault Cases

So many sexual assault cases go unheard of because of people like Brock Turner, or stories of the attackers being set free. Some cases that do get reported, are ignored or mishandled by the court systems and police/sheriffs departments. I literally can't even handle the amount of anger as well as frustration that goes through my mind when things like this happen. To all of the victims: I am here, and your story should be told and fought, and I'm here to help.

2. (Some) Western Feminist

Ok, ladies, (Now let's get in formation?) I totally get the pressure to look pretty, to be popular or whatever pressures women feel, but is it really the most important thing right now? I feel like there are so many other issues to talk about and fight for before we argue to not have to pay for tampons or "freeing the nipple". I literally can't even begin to explain the mixed feelings I have about this movement.

3. The Current Political Election

As much as I dislike the candidates that are standing in for the democrat and republican parties, I literally can't even try to express how annoying I find it when they debate or even promote themselves. Can't you find a more professional, (and might I add presidential) way to advance yourself?

4. The New and Improved(?) iPhone 7

"OMG I love this song! Play it on the auxiliary cord!"

"Oh, wait I can't, I have the iPhone 7."

Ugh, how saddening. Our new technology is supposed to be super fab and up to date, right? But doesn't super fab run along the lines of Frank Oceans new album? I would think so. I literally can't even with this whole "no auxiliary cord" thing. I mean, my 99' Honda Accord sure doesn't have bluetooth...I barely got my aux cord to work.

5. Kid Cudi (I Love You, Btw)

I literally can't even imagine how hard Kid Cudi's Facebook post about mental health had to be. He has helped so many people preserver through hard times in their lives with his music. We all love you Cudi, you do you boo.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
