K.Flay

K.Flay is an indie rap artist based in Los Angeles whose music ranges from EDM anthems that were featured at this year's Coachella to introspective discussions of relationships, substance abuse, and depression. Her voice and perspective are completely unique and this has allowed K.Flay to carve out her niche in the alternative and rap scenes alongside other strong and innovative female artists.

1. "No Duh"

"No Duh" is a fun twist on the average rapper's bragging track. The track features K.Flay's exceptional comedy and wordplay over an interesting pseudo-a capella style beat.

2. "FML"

K.Flay's most recent single "FML" explores the somewhat blurry relationship between the good and the bad in life. In an interview with Nylon, K.Flay discusses the track saying "There’s often a very fine line between the things that make us happy & those that cause us some form of misery."

3. "The Cops"

In K.Flay's "The Cops," she examines the pain she went through in a past relationship where her love and devotion for her partner went unrequited.

"So Fast, So Maybe" reflects on the nauseatingly unstoppable fast pace of life and urges listeners to go through life doing what they want as they may not always have the same drive or the same opportunities.

5. "Louis the Child" - It's Strange ft. K.Flay

K.Flay performed "It's Strange" on stage with Louis the Child at this year's Coachella Music Festival. This upbeat EDM track deals with the confusing emotions one may face when they find themselves falling in love unexpectedly.

6. "Make Me Fade"

"Make Me Fade" examines the complex relationship between the song's narrator and the use of drugs and alcohol.

7. "No"

This track deals with how it can often be difficult for individuals to identify destructive patterns of behavior and that hope for a better outcome can make it seem impossible to say "no" in situations that will ultimately cause pain.

8. "Golden Features" - Telescope ft. K.Flay

This relaxed yet dark collaboration between Golden Features and K.Flay examines how someone can manifest an unproductive obsession with a love interest.

9. "We Hate Everyone"

"We Hate Everyone" is a musically aggressive track that takes a satirical look at the blind rage that individuals struggling with depression can project onto their worlds.

10. "Fvcking Crazy" (ft. Eligh and Grieves)

This gritty track is a look at how complicated and destructive some relationships can become. On her RapGenius page, K.Flay says "It's sarcastic but honest. I hope."

11. Kaskade - "Promise" ft. K.Flay

Kaskade's "Promise" is a mellow, bouncy electronic track that gets inside the head of an ex who hopes her former lover hasn't forgotten her now that they are in a new relationship.

In "Can't Sleep" K.Flay examines her motivations for participating in partying and wild night-life.Even though she'd like to make more productive life choices, she always finds herself running away from her issues through staying up all night and making questionable decisions.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
