I like kissing you in the mornings. I like waking up next to you, seeing your smiling face, and you scooping me into your arms. There are no other arms I want to be wrapped up in, feeling your beard scratch up against my cheek. I like looking up at you and getting kissed because there is no other way I want to start my mornings.
I like kissing you unexpectedly. When we are chatting about serious things or silly things, I like our unexpected, mid-sentence kisses. When one of us is stressed out from who knows what and the other one gives a surprise kiss, those are my favorite. The fact that a kiss from another human being can brighten up one's mood is incredible. When we are sitting on the couch, watching Netflix, you lean over and kiss me. I wouldn't want to be enjoying a Netflix binge with anyone else but you.
I like kissing you at red lights. I like driving on the windy mountains roads, listening to sweet tunes, and a pup in my lap. Whether we are going to pick up fast food for dinner or going on a hike, I wouldn't want to be in the passenger seat of anyone else's car. When the windows are down, wind blowing through my hair, I look over at you and you are smiling at me. We get to a red light and you lean over and kiss me. How beautiful you can make such a simple moment.
I like kissing you under the stars. Whether we are out enjoying the night or just letting the puppy out, I like those moments spent under the stars. It never fails that I look up at the moon, complimenting its beauty and pointing out the phase it is in. You take my hand and pull me to you and kiss me in the moonlight. I like spending time together when the rest of the world is asleep.
I like kissing you while we do life together. It doesn't matter if we are sitting on the porch or making pancakes, I like your random kisses. We can be spending the day together and I would never get tired of them. It is the fact that you are able to spend time with another human that you can do life with. This human can make you smile through a small gesture such as kissing. This human is kissing you like you have never been kissed, they are extraordinary.
I like kissing you on mountains. After hiking up mountains, we gaze out upon each overlook. We stand together, soaking in the simplicity and beauty of the world around us. How marvelous of a moment to spend with someone on top of a mountain. You look over at me and smile, we kiss. "I like kissing you on mountains," I say, and I couldn't imagine experiencing any other moment.
