If you are a college athlete or even a college student you know this all to well. From the Freshman 15 to a New Year's Resolution the weight room is a place where many come to shed those extra pounds and get "swole." Below are 5 struggles that happen all to often in the weight room:
1. When you drop the weight on your toe.
I'll just lay here for a while.
" Baby are you down, down, down, down, down…"
2. The big macho guy next to you is making you look bad.
Sorry that I'm not on some juice. At least my noodle arms can fit in a coat.
3. Haven't lifted in a month.
No worries I will curl 30 pounds, bench 135 pounds, and squat 110 pounds.
Next day: Needs a wheelchair, and assistance brushing teeth.
4. Having to shower right after.
Laying in a pool of sweat and tears. Do they even clean the floors?
5. When you don't know how to treadmill.
When you see that hot guy at the gym, and you misjudge your steps.
Didn't see that one coming..
Next time you go to the gym, make sure you take a friend so you can both be embarrassed together. To ensure your safety, make sure you workout more than once a week. After all:
Practice makes perfect!
