Having two younger brothers is great. Not only will they jump on your bed to wake you up at 7 a.m., simply because they felt like it, but they'll also make sure that you have a drawing of a mustache on your face, so that if you forget to check in the mirror before you head outside to take out the garbage, everyone can make weird faces at you. Then, when you rush to the bathroom window to see if you have something funny on your face, you realize that your brothers made your morning very interesting.
Unfortunately, if you're staying home that day and your parents are out working, you're in charge of watching over them. Luckily, your younger siblings are very good at handing anything over to you. If you're comfortably lying down and don't want to get up, your younger siblings will, surprisingly enough, give you anything you want. One of the reasons they do this is that, deep down, they care about you. Of course, they never say this, but trust me, they do.
At some point, if your younger siblings start to get bored, you have to get up and entertain them, and you'll know when this happens. They'll either come into your room and start touching everything, or they'll cling onto you and begin pulling your hair. When that happens, you cook them food, so that they'll feel so full they won't want to move.
After your younger brothers have finished eating, you'll have about an hour before they begin feeling bored again. At this point, you have to stop whatever you're doing and actually play with them. You begin to wonder if the food that you made for them is what gave them so much energy. After a few hours of playing with them, you might have a huge headache and feel extremely tired. However, your day is not over yet! You still have to make sure they're not causing any mischief.
If they're doing something wrong, like calling the police and immediately hanging up. Once you try to fix their mess, you have to teach them what they did wrong. If they feel hungry again, you try to find anything in the house that can easily be made, simply because you know your parents are almost home and you know they'll cook dinner. Peanut butter and jelly sandwiches can usually satiate their hunger. Finally, your parents are back home from work, and you can relax.
Being an older sibling is a full-time job. Luckily, I only have to work as a full-time sister during the summer and winter breaks. During the school year, I am allowed to work part-time. However, I am always there for them whenever they need me. My two brothers may always make my days insane, but their existence are what makes my life a lot more significant.
