We all have that one friend that we can go to for any sort of advice, whether it be about relationships, family drama, friend drama or school troubles. We all have that one friend, unless that one friend is you. No matter what is happening in your life, your friends and family will come to you looking for some guidance. Of course, being the amazing human being that you are, you decide to help this friend or close family member in any way that you can with your perfect advice.
After you give said advice, you feel like such an amazing person. "Wow," you think, "this world would be so much better if everyone would just listen to me for once." Yup, all of the worlds problems would just melt away if everyone would just listen up to what you had to say. I mean, the advice you give is just too good to pass up.
That is until you are the one in need of the advice. You would think that after all this time of helping others out that you would know exactly what to do after this breakup or after this argument with your best friend. However, it just is not the same. No one else gives you very sound advice of how to deal with your school or social life issues. Your friends and family give some pretty good advice, however why take it? They don't understand what you're going through. They couldn't possibly say anything worth while to you that you could actually help you with your troubles.
You feel as though you should probably give advice for a living. What are those people called again? Thera-something. I mean, your advice is so perfect that people should honestly start paying some high dollar in order to receive some of your sweet wisdom. But for now, you'll stick to your current career path and put that plan on the back burner.
You just wish there was someone else out there that would possibly understand what you were going through. I mean sure, you give the perfect advice yet there isn't a soul that could help you. Oh wait — just ask yourself! Of course, take your own advice for once and maybe test out just how perfect your advice truly is!
Actually, now that you've thought of that, it doesn't sound so great. You're just going to stick to giving advice instead of receiving it. After all, your friends need you and your guidance.
