Are You The Mom Of Your Friend Group? ...... YES
Caitlynn Ledet

We’ve all got one in our friend group. Some groups have more than one, if they're very lucky. You possess qualities that can only be compared to that of a loving, middle-aged women – a.k.a your mom. You’ll find yourself worrying like a mother while doling out snacks, breath mints, and gum from your bottomless purse. If eight or more of these fit you, you are definitely the mom of your friend group!

1. Everyone goes to you for advice

No matter the situation you always know what to say and when to say it. From relationship advice to health advice, your friends know they can count on you for the best advice.

2. People trust you

As children, we grow up trusting and believing that our mom has our best decision at heart. You are a leader and have a charismatic personality. You always keep things to yourself, because you strongly hold privacy to yourself.

3. You're the go-to shoulder to cry on

After a long day, you are the person they know they can lean on. No matter the problem or situation, your friends know you will be there to wipe away their tears.

4. If your friend is sick, you're the one they call

When your friend is in need because they are feeling horrible, you are their go to girl. You know all the at home remedies and quick fixes. Most of all, you're the expert at making extreme hangovers go away!

5. "Be safe" is your go-to motto

Regardless if they are driving home, going on a date, or various other activities, you always suggest to be careful.

6. You always keep everyone in line

You're the friend that makes everyone get up and go to class, no matter what their excuse is. Studying is the only option your give them come "dead week" and finals week. When it comes to going out though, you always are the drink limiter. You keep them from making bad choices and possibly doing things they would regret.

7. After a night out, you make sure everyone made it home safely and is okay

We all know that friends check on each other after a crazy night out in downtown, but you make sure EVERYONE of your friends is okay! They are blessed to call you a best friend because they will make it home safe after wild nights!

8. They are required to text you when they make it home

No matter the occasion, it is a required part of the friendship to text you when you make it home. You will worry constantly till you know everyone is safe and sound.

9. You give the best pep talks

Everyone knows that you're the best at getting them ready for something nerve-racking. You always tell them.... "If this happens, do this..."

10. And you hate to say, "I told you so"

If they just didn’t listen and did it anyway, you give them a gentle reminder that they probably should heed your advice from now on. It’s for their own good.

You should be proud of yourself because you're a great friend. All your friends love you from the bottom of their heart because they know they can count on you! Always remember that being yourself is what your friends love about you, regardless if "telling it like it is," isn't want they want to hear right now. You are an appreciated, loving, and selfless person that your friends admire!

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
