John Green is one of the most popular writers of our generation. He has written many books that teach valuable lessons for people all over the world. His books inspire many because he speaks truth to the world. Here are few life lessons that everyone should keep in mind, to be sure that they are living their lives to the fullest.

1. Live In The Moment

“I love you present tense.” ― John Green, The Fault in Our Stars

We all live our lives day to day, no one knows what will happen in the next second, minute, hour, or day so we must cherish today, no matter what it may bring. We must all realize that we never know how much time we have with anyone, so we must always make the most of the time we have with friends, family, and lovers. Remember to always believe in yourself because you'll never know what opportunity will come, or if there will ever be another opportunity like the present.

2. Not Everything Will Have A Happy Ending

“I fear oblivion. I fear it like the proverbial blind man who's afraid of the dark.” ― John Green, The Fault in Our Stars

A happy beginning will not always have a happy ending. We all have had past experiences that have affected our views on things, but we must learn that everything happens for a reason. Even if we are in the dark, there will always be a huge, shining light at the end of the tunnel that we are all drawn to. I feel as if a lot of people today always suspect a happy ending, wind up becoming discouraged, and then afraid of their next step because they feel as if they have failed. That is false, you have not failed. You are turning into the person you're meant to be; even if that means having your heart broken multiple times before finding your soul mate, we cannot be afraid of being hurt.

3. Enjoy The Little Things In Life

“I enjoy looking at beautiful people, and I decided a while ago not to deny myself the simpler pleasures of existence.” ― John Green, The Fault in Our Stars

John Green explains that we must enjoy our existence in life, because we are put in that place, at that time, for a reason. We should be grateful because all of the simplicities in life are the ones that usually mean the most. I feel as if many people do not recognize the little things, because society has put an image into everyone's head that "bigger is better", but this is not the case. Many don't realize how much the smaller things mean in life because of the images, and expectations society brings. What may seem so small in one person's eyes, it means the world to another.

John Green is a man who knows how to live in today’s world. The world will not always be kind or treat us in a respectful way; it is just the way things are. Realizing how beautiful life is will make everyone realize how spectacular life truly is! Enjoy every little moment, and realize that even if things don’t work out in the end, there is a deeper meaning behind it.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
