As the premiere of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation rapidly approaches, I can’t help but to reminisce on all the wonderful lessons that I have learned from the cast over the years. There are infinite lessons to be learned from the show, but for the sake of time, I will only share the 13 most notable:

1. Don’t take life too seriously

Vinny and the rest of the cast mates knew to not take themselves or life too seriously. They were completely themselves, regardless of how dumb or insane they may have looked while on the show.

2. How to be the life of the party

Say what you will about the cast, but you can't say they didn't know how to have a good time. No one can party like they can.

3. How to think of some sweet comebacks

How can you come back from this? You can't. Snooki just wrecked your life.

4. Dating advice

JWoww just gave some extremely valuable life advice. You should never have to change for a man, but rather should find someone who loves you for exactly who you are. Thanks for those wise words, JWoww.

5. How to be a great worker

Snooki, along with most of the cast members, was an incredibly hardworking and dedicated employee. Who doesn't want to funnel a beer with their employee at 10:30 a.m.?

6. First impressions are important

These are the infamous first words yelled by Snooki to the cast in the first episode. She proceeds to get sloppily drunk and attempts to make out with half of her new roommates. This leaves a horrible first impression on the cast, almost causing Snooki to leave the house for good, before the show even really began.

7. How to love yourself

Snooki is the perfect example of how to have complete self confidence. She did not give a crap what anyone thought of her. She loved being tan, so she didn't care if other people made fun of the way she looked.

8. How to protect yourself from grenades

For those of you who do not know, a grenade is a fat and ugly girl. But don't fret, you can protect yourself from such girls with this handy-dandy helmet. Thanks, Pauly.

9. How to handle being arrested

If you just got arrested, there is no need to worry; Jersey Shore has prepared you for this! Simply scream, "I'M A FUCKING GOOD PERSON!" in the police officer's faces. They will realize they have made a terrible mistake and immediately let you go.

10. How to be level-headed and not over-exaggerate

Never in a million years would one of the cast members over-exaggerate. Never, ever.

11. How to keep it real

These are words to live by. Honesty is key in life. Who cares if you are nice, as long as you are honest?

12. How to be a good friend

There is no friendship quite as adorable and admirable as Vinny and Pauly D's. This was just one of many heart-warming moments shared between the two guidos. Everyone should aspire to have a friendship as pure as theirs.

13. How to determine if a girl is too young for you

Considering some of the cast members were 30 years old by the time the last season aired, it was necessary for the boys to clarify some rules as to determine if a girl was too young for them. Naturally, if she was still playing laser tag, she was way too young.

Whether they were working hard at the Shore Store or promoting self love, the cast of Jersey Shore constantly gave great life advice. I have learned so many life lessons from the show, and I know there are many more coming our way in the new season. Jersey Shore: Family Vacation premieres April 5 on MTV. Be sure to check it out, and learn some valuable life lessons along the way.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
