If you're anything like me, then, you're a huge NERD. And if you're anything like the the kind of nerd that I was when I was young then your favorite cartoon was Dragon Ball Z (come on, what other cartoon could compete?). Energy blasts, screaming power-ups, booming explosions, and the strongest guys around the universe? Oh and don't forget epic training montages!
What more could you ask for?
And none stood mightier than Goku. The hero when you needed him, always helping people one Kamehameha wave at a time. This guy could teach you a lot about succeeding in any situation.
But just In case you don't want to watch all 291 episodes( that's the original folks, not that knock off 'Kai'), I've pulled just a few of the worthy lessons you could stand to learn watching from Goku.
1) Don't Be Afraid to Get Help from Others
You think Goku could of stopped the Saiyans from destroying the Earth by himself? Stop Frieza, destroyer of worlds, on his own? Don't forget he had the help of his team of Z fighters! Krillin, Piccolo, Gohan, Vegeta, Yami, and countless others. And all those Senzu beans? C'mon. With his support team he stood strong and weathered any challenge. Don't be too proud to ask for support from your friends, family and loved ones. No ones strong enough to go it alone.
2) Use Every Weapon In Your Arsenal
Spirit Bomb, Kaio-Ken, KAMEHAMEHA, Instant Transmission,Senzu Beans, Destructo Disc, ( we don't talk about dragon fist that's GT, that's not real), but every one of these techniques are used by Goku to defeat new enemies every time. They weren't left in the dust when the next new thing came around, they were built upon, and improved! Work on your skills and use what you learn to improve on old skills!
3) If At You First You Don't Succeed, Eat a Senzu Bean
And try again! Don't give up after your first failure! Goku got shot through the chest and died! But he came back to life and saved the Earth! Don't listen to nay-sayers and doubters, they haven't lived your life or walked in your shoes so what do they know?
4) Preparation is Key
Don't assume that just because you squashed millions of obstacles before you that you don't need your fair share of training. You better get in that hyperbolic time chamber. Goku was famous for his training regiments, pushing himself, and doing push-ups in 100x eearth's gravity just to test his endurance. Always prepare yourself for any endeavor.

5) No Matter How Strong You Are, You Will Always Meet Someone Stronger.
So, you landed the big gig, cool. What now? Don't stop setting goals for yourself, don't become complacent. Just because you reached a new high point, doesn't mean someone won't come around that knows more than you. Be prepared for them and learn from them even. Goku never looked down on new opponents rather he respected and welcomed each challenge.
6) Stay Humble!
Goku never mocked or was cocky in a fight! Attitude is everything so stay positive and humble.
7) Attitude is Everything
I guess this expands on number 6. A positive attitude is part of what made Goku, well, Goku! Never afraid to smile in Cell or Freiza's ugly face, and joking even when being beatdown, Goku embodied positivity in the face of adversity. This positivity gave him courage and kept him loose. Positive though cause positive results! Try it some time.
8) Never Show All Your Cards
Keep that power level down low man. Goku and ,hey, every character in DBZ kept their power levels on the low till they needed them. Like a game of poker never reveal what you have till your opponent does.
9) Don't Be Afraid To Show Off What You Worked Hard For
After putting your all into your craft don't be afraid to flex a bit! You've spent months studying, lifting, practicing, etc. Don't be shy, show them what you've got!
10) Old Enemies Can Be New Friends
Goku's biggest enemies were Vegeta and Piccolo, and they became his closest allies! Never be afraid to learn from your enemies and even work together towards a common goal. Treat all your opponents with respect.
11) Blondes Have More Fun
