You want the truth?

Well, here it is.

Life doesn’t always turn out how you expect it to. You don’t end up living in a fairytale world like you thought you would. You probably won’t even recognize your friends ten years from now. That boyfriend you have right now probably won’t be around in five more years. You have this fantasy world in your head of how your life will turn out, but the chances of it actually turning out like that are slim to none.

It could, though. If you work hard enough and put enough effort into friendships and relationships, then maybe everything will stay the same. Key word being maybe.

So like all of those cliché quotes go, is it really worth settling for less than you deserve? Is continuously doing something that makes you unhappy every day really worth it?

You really do only get one life, so spend it however you want to with whoever you want. Stop caring about what people will think of you, or how many likes you'll get on an Instagram picture if you post it during a certain time.

Just live your life.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
