Forrest Gump said it best when he said, "Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're gonna get". Although this is just a quote from a movie, this resonates so much truth; I do believe some of life's most truthful things were stated in movies. Throughout my life, especially since graduating high school, this quote has spoken more truth than anything else. It has played a bold role in my life through many hard and good time.
Life is indeed a box of who knows what and we have no idea what to expect until we embrace the moment. Life is filled with random experiences that we may or may not like, just like a box of chocolates is filled with random flavors we may or may not like. The important part is that you taste every experience life throws at you and you find your preference; without tasting and trying the different flavors, you will live life not knowing and you will miss out. Unlike a box of chocolates, you won't dislike every experience life throws at you or like every experience life throws at you.
Life is filled with both good and bad experiences, just like a box of chocolates is filled with both good and bad flavors. Whether or not you like to try new flavors, it is important to embrace everything in the box and find what you like. Embracing everything in the box is a learning experience that will teach you so much. Embracing everything in the box will expose you to so many things you did not expect, yet ended up being so grateful for. Open the box without hesitation and face life full force. Live your life, try all of the chocolates in the box, and embrace each experience that is thrown at you!
