It’s a special moment in a woman’s life, they say, a woman’s rite of passage. They say it’s a sign of the next stages of womanhood — that we should all look forward to this revelation on being a woman. Afterwards they would insert this cliche analogy to the cocoon cracked through, revealing this beautiful butterfly, fluttering majestically away in to the sunset. And can I just say this: all of it, bullsh*t. What they were telling us about periods is this trap. In fact, it’s the worst gift from mother nature. The worst part? It’s expected to life through it all — the cramps, the cravings, the back pains, all of it. Not even for one single day. Here are the life-challenging obstacles any bleeding human would go through everyday during their TOM (time of month).
1. The epiphany on why you are breaking out more than usual.
2. Cramps at the wrong time.
Whether it’s at school, work, or a meeting, you don't want to face that painful wrath.
3. Emotional break downs about the dumbest things.
4. Standing up after a long lecture in class.

5. Having to go to the bathroom like 500 times a day.

6. You’re hungry but not hungry.
7. Wanting to sleep for a thousand years but can’t…
Probably a little TMI but if you’re a bleeding human being, this story is yours too.
