Life Hacks For Partying In SF

Nights out can sometimes cost a fortune, but you’re smarter than that, you’re a city expert!! Here are five ways to cut your party fees in half!!

  1. Invest in your pregame: Now I'm not talking about downing six shots because "the uber comes in five minutes." No, go to your nearest liquor store and make yourself one of those "trendy-girl" cocktails, and then you'll only feel the need to buy one drink at the bar, if any- besides, at the bar you have to tip, but at home you don't!!
  2. Take the bus to the club: While the rest of the SF population is clogging up the street access to the bars with their "surge priced" ubers you and your crew will be sittin' pretty in your very own party bus, or as muni refers to it as the 38 - taking a bus will save you so much money and possibly time so you can get "dancy" at your destination way cheaper and faster.
  3. If you must uber pick your most efficient ride buddies from your squad. Picking a ride crew is like picking the best team for dodge ball. Do it before hand so you can find the most efficient way to get to the bar. Fun Fact: uber xl’s are you’re friends if you can fill them to the brim!!
  4. Never and I mean NEVER wear any shoes you absolutely love to a bar: Save yourself the pain and dollars of having to replace your cute new boots all the time. Go to Payless and buy the cutest cheapest boots you can find- congratulations you have just gotten your first pair of bar boots!
  5. LATE NIGHT MUNCHIES: We all know every time we go out we promise ourselves we’re never going to buy food, but we know the truth. You start smelling those street dogs and it is game over! But instead of eating the costs of having to get cash out from an ATM that's not your bank. ALWAYS take out cash before you go out and bring $10, so that way you stay on a budget and reach street dog happiness that much faster!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
