Wouldn't it be great if we lived more of our lives with that feeling you get on a perfect summer day, with all the windows rolled down, listening to a good song, realizing that in that very moment, everything is okay?

You can!
Instead of always waiting for the perfect moment to arise, and everyone else to get their ducks in a row, create it yourself. It's all about getting up, looking in the mirror, and saying "no matter what the obstacles are I'm going to have a good day."
I have spent so much of my life looking to others to unlock doors for me, when I was the only one who knew where the keys were. I would constantly rely solely on other people to determine if I was happy or not. By living this way I could rarely find moments that I was happy.
So instead of continuing to roll through life as a miserable ball asking "what do I do next?" to everyone too busy trying to please themselves, I answered my own question. I stopped looking to others for happiness, sat back and thought "what made me happy?"
This is your life so please go live it
If going hiking with your friends makes you happy, but they can never seem to find the time, go on some solo hikes. Some of the best hikes I've gone on are the ones where it's just me, my thoughts, and the nature around me.
If playing loud music makes you feel better, but your parents are sick and tired of feeling like a live concert is occurring in their child's bedroom. Go outside or in your car, and play your music. That way you're still catering to your happiness and avoiding your mother throwing your speaker out the window.
If you love to play a certain sport but can never find a group of friends to scrimmage with. Go regardless, this way you can have full focus on what you're doing, and get some practice time in to be even better when everyone wants to go play.
Whatever it is that you're dying to go do, but you don't because you think you need others approval, STOP AND GO DO IT.
I promise you the sooner you start living your life the way you want to; loving and encouraging yourself along the way, the sooner those moments of happiness will stop being so rare.
